Die Vorlesung vermittelt die Grundlagen sprachlicher Interaktion zwischen Menschen und mit Maschinen. Zunächst werden die Ebenen linguistischer Beschreibungen und Modellierung von Sprache erörtert, jeweils zusammen mit der Fragen, wie entsprechende Aspekte maschinell verarbeitet werden können. Anschließend werden zentrale Aspekte der Kommunikation und komplexeren Interaktion (Turn-Wechsel, Diskurs, Feedback, Multimodalität, etc) betrachtet. Neben klassischen Methoden und Formalismen (z.B. Parsing) werden moderne Verfahren des maschinellen Lernens eingeführt, mit denen Dialogsysteme oder Sprachmodelle implementiert werden können.

Die Veranstaltung wird in Präsenz abgehalten. Im begründeten Bedarfsfall kann eine Teilnahme per Zoom erfolgen.
