230098 "Ein einziger Schrei – die Stadt ist versunken" - Naturkatastrophen in der Literatur (S) (SoSe 2024)

In der Naturkatastrophe wird die Kultur durch die Natur, die sie zu zähmen suchte, bedroht. Flammen zerstören die Mauern der Stadt, Erdbeben lassen Häuser und Weltbilder, Fluten fressen Deiche und Städte auf. Im Seminar werden wir über lyrische, dramatische und prosaische Texte sprechen, die sich mit Naturkatastrophen befassen und ihre literatur- und kulturhistorischen Deutungssysteme befragen.

Bibliography

Wir beschäftigen uns mit verschiedenen Texten, die sich um die Themenbereiche Flut, Vulkanausbruch und Erdbeben drehen. Neben kürzeren literarischen und auch theoretischen Texten werden wir folgende Primärlektüre besprechen:
