In this project, students are developing a data-driven model to predict the energy consumption of movements on the XTS linear transport system from Beckhoff. Firstly, a pipeline concept for data acquisition is developed. After successful data acquisition, a model is then trained that integrates the energy consumption into an XTS simulation. This opens up the possibility of effectively optimising the system for energy consumption in simulation.
