Mit den Teilbereichen Morphologie und Syntax stehen zwei strukturbildende Mechanismen der Sprache im Fokus der Veranstaltung. Die Morphologie beschreibt die Strukturen der Wörter, die Syntax setzt diese Wörter zu größeren Einheiten in Form von Phrasen und Sätzen zusammen.
Gegenstand der Lehrveranstaltung ist die Auseinandersetzung mit diesen Mechanismen und ihren Analyseverfahren aus unterschiedlichen grammatischen Perspektiven.
