What is the course about?
This is an experimental course. Our goal is to help you to improve your pronunciation. We will be doing that with singing. Improving pronunciation and singing have a lot in common. It’s all about forming the right vowels, softening consonants, emphasizing the correct syllables, applying melody and rhythm to your voice, and repeating phrases over and over again.
In class we will sing together and at home you will train yourself and do a recording. As this is an experimental course, your recordings will be listened to not only by me, but also by one of our coordinators. You will receive individual feedback on your progress.
One part of the course will be practicing how to read sheet music. Music is a language and you’ll never understand what you are supposed to do musically if you can’t read notes. Being able to read sheet music will certainly make singing much easier for you.
