In dieser Veranstaltung soll der Frage nach dem Verhältnis von Objektivität, Parteilichkeit und Standortgebundenheit in der Geschichte der Geschichtsschreibung nachgegangen werden. Infrage steht dabei beispielsweise, welche Relevanz der jeweils eigenen Position ein*er Historiker*in in ihren Narrativen zukommt oder inwieweit sich Historiker*innen Werturteile erlauben können und sollten. Wie sich zeigen wird, handelt es sich bei dieser Verhältnisbestimmung um einen zentralen Ort geschichtspolitischer, wissenschaftstheoretischer und ethischer Auseinandersetzung, um den nicht selten intensiv gerungen wird.
