Der Begriff „Narrativ“ ist aktuell nicht nur in der öffentlichen Debatte allgegenwärtig, auch die politikwissenschaftliche Forschung zu politischen Erzählungen hat in den letzten Jahren stark an Bedeutung gewonnen. Wie lassen sich politische Narrative definieren? Wie werden sie von verschiedenen politischen Akteuren (strategisch) verwendet? Was wird in den Narrativen erzählt und wie werden dabei z.B. bestimmte Charaktere (heroes, villains, victims) beschrieben? Diesen und ähnlichen Fragen wenden wir uns in diesem Blockseminar zu. Das Seminar führt in verschiedene Theorieansätze zur Analyse von Narrativen ein, die in der Policy-Forschung entwickelt wurden. In einem zweiten Schritt werden methodische Fragen der Anwendung dieser Theorien besprochen und führen die Studierenden selbst kleinere Narrativanalysen nach eigenem Themeninteresse durch.
