"Die Biomechanik des Sports ist die wissenschaftliche Disziplin, die die sportliche Bewegung unter Verwendung von Begriffen, Methoden und Gesetzmäßigkeiten der Mechanik beschreibt und erklärt." (Ballreich 1996)
In der Vorlesung werden die Grundlagen der biomechnischen Analyse behandelt. Die Teilnehmer lernen, wie wichtige biomechanische Parameter sportlicher Bewegung erfasst und berechnet werden können. Im zugehörigen Seminar (Kinematische Datenanalyse) wird das erworbene Wissen auf selbst aufgezeichnete Versuchsdaten angewendet.
