Recent advances in Graph Neural Networks [1] allow to understand 3D object meshes and depth images on a functional level. We want to utilize those methods for modeling of objects for grasping and manipulation. Particularly, we want to recognize functional components in object meshes, which are relevant, e.g. for pouring, opening, etc.
