Andreas Steinhöfel (geb. 1962) hat schon in seinen ersten Büchern (z.B. „Dirk und Ich“) mit Sprachwitz, unsentimentaler und gleichzeitig emphatischer Erzählweise überrascht und mit gängigen Klischees im Kinderbuch radikal aufgeräumt. Sein Jugendbuch „ Die Mitte der Welt“ schaffte es auf die Bestsellerlisten für Erwachsene. Heute ist Andreas Steinhöfel einer der am meisten gelesenen und beliebtesten Kinder- und Jugendbuchautoren der Gegenwart, der bereits für sein Gesamtwerk mit dem Deutschen Jugendliteraturpreis ausgezeichnet wurde. Mit der Trilogie „Rico, Oskar und die Tieferschatten“ hat er zwei Helden zum Lachen, Staunen und Nachdenken geschaffen: den „tiefbegabten“ Rico und den überschlauen Oskar.
Das Seminar ist eingebettet in die Veranstaltung Bielefelder Poet in Residence (18.-21.11.2014), die jährlich im November an unserer Fakultät stattfindet und eine Autorin/ einen Autor aus dem Bereich der Kinder- und Jugendliteratur zu Gast hat. Im Rahmen des Poets diskutiert der Autor/ die Autorin mit den Studierenden über bestimmte Werke, erzählt aus dem Arbeits- bzw. Schreiballtag, von Themenfindung, Inspirationen, Literaturvorstellungen etc.; zudem finden öffentliche Lesungen statt. Poets waren bisher: Zoran Drvenkar (2012) und Kisten Boie (2013).

Voraussetzung für die Teilnahmebescheinigung ist
1) die regelmäßige Teilnahme (5 reguläre Sitzungen vorab plus Blockseminar im Rahmen des Poet);
2) das Schreiben von Kommentaren zu sechs Büchern von Andreas Steinhöfel, die im stud.ip abgelegt werden (die Bekanntgabe der Bücherliste erfolgt zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt);
3) dass Sie sich in einer kleinen Expertengruppe intensiv auf die Diskussion eines Buches vorbereiten.
