Diagnostische Kompetenz kommt in vielen Berufsfeldern eine hohe Bedeutung zu. Unter präventiven Gesichtspunkten soll die motorische Leistungsfähigkeit von Kinderen und Jugendlichen beurteilt werden um gegebenenfalls einen besonderen Förderbedarf festzustellen. Im Fitness- und Freizeitsport soll u.U. die Kundenzufriedenheit mit den Sportanbieter mittels eines Fragebogens erhoben werden und im Wettkampfsport soll die Leistungsfähigkeit im konditionellen und taktischem Bereich überprüft werden.
Ziel der Veranstaltung ist die Vorstellung der theoretischen Grundlagen der motorische und psychischer Diagnostik und die Einführung der entsprechenden Techniken und Verfahrensweisen. Dieses wird problemorientiert am Beispiel verschiedener motorischer Testverfahren, der Konstruktion von Fragebögen und der Durchführung von Beobachtunungsverfahren in Kleingruppen erarbeitet.
