270016 Datenexploration und -visualisierung mit Python (S) (WiSe 2018/2019)

Python ist eine anfängerfreundliche und sehr vielseitige Programmiersprache, die sich insbesondere zur Auswertung und Visualisierung von Daten eignet. Im Seminar wollen wir Daten aus verschiedenen psychologischen Studien (re-)analysieren und auf verschiedene Arten darstellen.
Es geht in dem Seminar zum einen darum, sich mit Hilfe von Abbildungen ein schnelles und intuitives Verständnis für einen Datensatz zu verschaffen (Datenexploration). So kann man sowohl interessante Muster in den Daten finden, als auch mögliche Probleme identifizieren. Zum anderen geht es darum, Abbildungen zu erstellen, die sich für Publikationen oder Abschlussarbeiten eignen, also der Kommunikation von Ergebnissen dienen.

Requirements for participation, required level

Es sind keine Vorkenntnisse nötig. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Studierende der Psychologie, die keine Vorerfahrung mit Programmiersprachen haben.
