Contents, comment

The class will be an introduction to academic writing and research. The focus will be on writing practices, techniques such as brainstorming, mind-mapping, paragraph writing, paragraph transitions, thesis statement and research questions, argumentation, conclusion and the academic writer’s voice. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel The Great Gatsby will function as literary example to pursue academic analytical writing.
