Your teacher will assess your writing level during the first lesson, and will direct you to Academic Writing I or Academic Writing II if needed. For this course, your written English should be at least a good B2 level, and you should be able to understand your teacher when she speaks at a normal pace.
If you are on the waiting list, you are invited to join the first lesson anyway. Experience has shown that waiting list students who have the right level are usually able to join the class.
