Studierende erlernen Grundlagen um eine gute wissenschaftliche Arbeit im Bereich Intelligenter Systeme zu verfassen. Folgende Themenbereiche werden in der Veranstaltung behandelt:
- was ist eine gute wissenschaftliche Arbeit? Analyse anhand von Beispielen
- wissenschaftliche Methoden (Strukturieren, Recherchieren, Motivieren, Argumentieren, Zitieren etc.)
- Hypothesen aufbauen/verifizieren
- Evaluation technischer u./o. interaktiver Systeme (welche Maße wähle ich?)The aim of the course is to teach methods of scientific work. Students learn the basics to write a good scientific paper in the field of intelligent systems. The following topics will be covered in the course:
- what is a good scientific paper? Analysis based on examples
- scientific methods (structuring, researching, motivating, arguing, citing, etc.)
- hypothesis building/verification
- evaluation of technical and/or interactive systems (which measurements do I choose?)

Alle Präsenzveranstaltungen werden von kleinen Übungen begleitet, die das Ziel haben entsprechende Kompetenzen zu festigen, z.B. Texte analysieren/verfassen, Hypothesen aufstellen, Auswahl passender Evaluationsmethoden für ein gegebenes technisches System, etc.
All classroom sessions are accompanied by small exercises aimed at consolidating relevant skills, e.g. analyzing/writing texts, hypothesizing, selecting appropriate evaluation methods for a given technical system, etc.
