Das Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es Methoden wissenschaftlicher Arbeit zu vermitteln. Studierende erlernen Grundlagen um eine gute wissenschaftliche Arbeit im Bereich Intelligenter Systeme zu verfassen. Folgende Themenbereiche werden in der Veranstaltung behandelt:
- was ist eine gute wissenschaftliche Arbeit? Analyse anhand von Beispielen
- wissenschaftliche Methoden (Strukturieren, Recherchieren, Motivieren, Argumentieren, Zitieren etc.)
- Hypothesen aufbauen/verifizieren
- Evaluation technischer u./o. interaktiver Systeme (welche Maße wähle ich?)
The aim of the course is to teach methods of scientific work. Students learn the basics to write a good scientific paper in the field of intelligent systems. The following topics will be covered in the course:
- what is a good scientific paper? Analysis based on examples
- scientific methods (structuring, researching, motivating, arguing, citing, etc.)
- hypothesis building/verification
- evaluation of technical and/or interactive systems (which measurements do I choose?)

Alle Präsenzveranstaltungen werden von kleinen Übungen begleitet, die das Ziel haben entsprechende Kompetenzen zu festigen, z.B. Texte analysieren/verfassen, Hypothesen aufstellen, Auswahl passender Evaluationsmethoden für ein gegebenes technisches System, etc.
All classroom sessions are accompanied by small exercises aimed at consolidating relevant skills, e.g. analyzing/writing texts, hypothesizing, selecting appropriate evaluation methods for a given technical system, etc.
A corresponding course offer for this course already exists in the e-learning system. Teaching staff can store materials relating to teaching courses there:
