Eine gute Kenntnis der Insektenfauna ist für viele biologische Fragen unerlässlich, auch und vor allem für ökologische und naturschutz-relevante Arbeiten - und Spezialisten sind für viele Tiergruppen rar gesät. In dieser Übung wird ein Überblick über die Großgruppen der Insekten und ihre häufigsten und wichtigsten Familien und Arten gegeben. Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich (wenn auch hilfreich).
