Das Bilderbuch zeigt sich heute als ein Medium, dessen bestehende sprach- und bildästhetische Gestaltungsspielräume KünstlerInnen auf höchst vielfältige und anspruchsvolle Weise nutzen. Als traditionell pädagogisch funktionalisiertes Medium etabliert es sich dabei mehr und mehr im literarischen Feld.
Im Seminar werden aktuelle Innovationstendenzen im Bilderbuch in den Blick genommen. Neben der Analyse von Bilderbüchern, wird die Frage zu diskutieren sein, inwiefern veränderte literarische Angebote auch die Rezeptionsmöglichkeiten neuer Bilderbücher beeinflussen. Mit Blick auf das Altersspektrum von GrundschülerInnen werden abschließend auch angemessene Zugänge zur Initiierung literarischer Lernprozesse im Umgang mit neuen Bilderbüchern thematisiert.
