Die Studierenden können nach Besuch der Seminars die typischen Unfallmechanismen, die klinische Symptomatik sowie die notwendige Diagnostik bei Verletzungen des proximalen Humerus, des Humerusschaftes und des distalen Radius erläutern.

Die Studierenden können den Unterschied zwischen extraartikulären und artikulären Frakturen, sowie Luxationen und Luxationsfrakturen (am Beispiel Humeruskopf) und ihrer Bedeutung für die Prognose benennen.

Die Studierenden können aus der radiologischen Diagnostik zwischen einer einfachen und mehrfragmentäre Radiusfraktur unterscheiden.

Die Studierenden kennen die typischen peri- und posttraumatischen Begleitzustände dieser Frakturentitäten (Humeruskopfnekrose, N. radialis Läsion, Arthrose des radio-carpal Gelenkes) und sie können die klinischen Symptome diese Begleitzustände zuordnen.

Sie kennen das konservative Behandlungsprinzip des Unterarmgipses.

Sie kennen das Prinzip der Ruhigstellung an der Schulter (Dessault / Schulterschlinge).
