Contents, comment

The primary spoken language of this lecture is English. However, the slides are provided in English and German. Also, the written exam can be taken either in English or in German. We provide a dedicated tutorial which is completely in English, as well as several other tutorials in German. Please be carefull when choosing your tutorial!

This lecture covers principles and methods in the context of intelligent, computer graphically generated environments, which are summarized under the title "Mixed Reality" (which comprises Augmented and Virtual Reality). Historically, the lecture used to focus on Virtual Reality, thus the title. It might be updated to reflect the new content in the future.

The Module 39-Inf-VR
This lecture is part of the module 39-Inf-VR. To complete the module, participation in the tutorials (392257) is mandatory. These tutorials are given in the winter term, in parallel to the lecture. Both, lecture and tutorials together should provide you with the theoretical and practical background to be able to take part in the third component of the module: the project seminar, which is typically offered in summer term.

This lecture is part of the Module 39-Inf-VR. To complete this module, a portfolio comprising a successful (at least 60% of the points) completion of the tutorial tasks and a written exam (90 min) is required. The written exam covers the topics from the lecture as well as the tutorials.
