The main objective of this class is to help students conceive, research and write their profile module papers and to develop and hone skills they will need to write their BA (and M.Ed.) papers. The focus will be on papers with topics in literary studies and social and cultural studies.
The class will focus on the participants' individual goals and issues, i.e. follow a problem-and-solution-based approach, in which all students will be required to develop meaningful approaches to academic writing together. Students will be asked to name and set indivdual and communal 'milestones', create task lists, and collect issues that are to be resolved over the course of the semester. Additional secondary material on the process and styles of academic writing will be provided through the Lernraum.
Students will need to have passed their BM2 module paper (FsB 2017)/Basis2 Portfolio (FsB 2022) before attending Advanced Academic Writing. If you are enrolled in the FsB 2022, you also need to have passed the Language Proficiency Test before attending this class.
