Wir laden alle Interessierten in Verhaltens- und Evolutionsbiologie ein mit uns gemeinsam wichtige etablierte und neue Konzepte und Entwicklungen in der Forschung von Symbiosen in allen ihren spannenden Ausprägungen zu lesen und zu erarbeiten. Dabei werden wir uns auf die Interaktionen zwischen Organismen konzentrieren, die in anderen Organismen oder auf deren Kosten leben, ohne sie direkt zu töten und auf Gegenanpassungen treffen. Somit werden wir eine der wichtigsten biologischen Interaktionen in Tiefe kennenlernen, die von den kleinsten Viren und Bakterien bis zu den komplexesten Organismen und sozialen Gruppen, inkl. menschliche Gesellschaften betrifft. Somit kann das Seminar auch Selbsterkennungsfunktionen haben.
Die Texte werden alle auf Englisch sein, Diskussionen können aber sowohl auf Deutsch als auch auf Englisch gehalten werden.
Leistungspunkte können erlangt werden durch regelmäßige Teilnahme und die Ausarbeitung eines Seminarvortrages.
