In diesem Kurs wird die Formenlehre und Syntax der griechischen Sprache erlernt und deren Anwendung gründlich eingeübt. Dazu wird von Anfang an mit Originalsätzen und -texten gearbeitet. Das notwendige Vokabular wird erarbeitet.
Es wird mit den Lehrbüchern des Kursleiters gearbeitet, die neben dem Lehrgang reichhaltiges Übungsmaterial enthalten (siehe unten). Lösungen dazu werden digital bereitgestellt.

Es sind keine Vorkenntnisse im Altgriechischen nötig. Es wird alles grundständig erklärt.

Erbringung von Studienleistungen durch aktive kontinuierliche Beteiligung am Unterricht, insbesondere durch Erledigung und Vorstellung der Hausaufgaben, Teilnahme an den angebotenen Evaluationen und Bestehen der Modulprüfung. Deren Bestehen ist gleichzeitig Voraussetzung für die Zulassung in den Anschlußkurs Graecum II im Wintersemester. Der Termin der Modulprüfung ist die erste Sitzung im Wintersemester.
