230561 Creative Writing - Worldbuilding (S) (WiSe 2021/2022)

Contents, comment

This is a purely online, asynchronous seminar.

In this broad introduction to Creative Writing, participants will be able to experiment with a wide spectrum of writing techniques, all of them centring on the theme of "Worldbuilding". In addition to providing a forum for participants to work intensively at their own writing skills, the seminar should interest future teachers alert to the rich potential of creative writing in teaching language and literature.

The seminar will run ASYNCHRONOUSLY. That is, you DO NOT have to keep a slot free for real-time interactions via Zoom or chatrooms - though we are looking forward to very active asynchronous exchanges via forums or chats.

Requirements for participation, required level

The seminar is aimed at students who have chosen VM6 as their "Vertiefungsmodul" and wish to complete a SL and possibly a PL in connection with the seminar. However, other students of English who simply relish creative writing may also participate.
