This seminar will attempt to apply decision theory to questions of rhetoric. We will look at some game theoretical approaches to everyday conversations, i.e. to talk and the use of language.
We need to decide in the first two weeks, whether to follow Arthur Merin´s book of the same title, which is available in the Lernraum, or concentrate on a set of specific papers, while only occasionally coming back to Merin´s account.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
