Trends and tides of machine learning
In this seminar, we will learn about current trends and long-term tides in machine learning research. In each session, we will watch a research talk or tutorial and, in the remaining time, discuss the talk and how it relates to AI research in the bigger picture. Credits can be obtained by preparing and moderating the discussions.
The first session is on October 7th. We will start by watching the 2018 Turing Award lectures by Geoffrey Hinton and Yann Lecun.
