Das Ziel der die Vorlesung zur Einführung in die Politikwissenschaft begleitenden Übungen ist es, den Studierenden einen aktiven und praxisnahen Zugang zu politikwissenschaftlichen Problemen zu eröffnen. Die Studierenden lernen, aufgrund eines Problemszenarios in Kleingruppen politikwissenschaftliche Fragestellungen zu identifizieren, zu bearbeiten und zu lösen (problem-based learning).
Die Arbeitsgruppen präsentieren ihre Resultate in Form von Problemsichten, Outlines, Argumentativen Gliederungen und gemeinsam verfassten Gruppenhausarbeiten.
Neben der aktiven Teilnahme und dem Erbringen der Studien- und Prüfungsleistungen wird von den Studierenden erwartet, dass sie kollegial und konstruktiv an der Bearbeitung des Szenarios mitwirken.
