Factorial surveys are a complex type of experimental design in which participants evaluate one or more stimulus allowing the identification of causal effects from multiple features of them. The course aims to provide students with practical skills related to the design and analysis of factorial surveys applied to research on social inequalities. The course relies on a learning by doing strategy according to which the methodology will consist on in-depth reviewing of research outputs on inequalities where factorial surveys are used. Some of the substantive subjects that will be considered are justification of gender pay gaps, cultural norms, attitudes towards refugees, among other.
