Ein Studium in der Chemie an der Universität Bielefeld ist niemals langweilig: Durch ein sehr breites Spektrum an Ausbildungszielen mit unterschiedlichsten Anforderungen erwartet die Studierenden eine abwechslungsreiche Mischung aus theoretischer und praktischer Arbeit.
Sie erwerben Kenntnisse in den Fächern Anorganische, Organische, Physikalische und Theoretische Chemie sowie in Biochemie. Außerdem wird Methodenkompetenz und der sichere Umgang mit Chemikalien in studienintegrierten Laborpraktika vermittelt. Die Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler an der Fakultät für Chemie der Universität Bielefeld sind dabei der Garant für Qualitätslehre: Sie haben in den zurückliegenden Jahren immer wieder hervorragende und vielbeachtete Forschungsarbeiten in den unterschiedlichsten Bereichen der Chemie geleistet und damit wichtige Beiträge zum Grundverständnis elementarer Prozesse in der Natur geliefert. Neben den Fachkenntnissen werden außerdem Schlüsselkompetenzen vermittelt, die für das spätere Berufsleben sehr wichtig sind.
