230824 Academic English Writing, level B2/C1 (S) (WiSe 2010/2011)

Contents, comment

This course is designed to train students' skills in academic writing (i.e., the writing they have to produce in the academic context). The precise course content depends on the participants’ interests. Past demand included the following topics:

- Lexical and structural foundations of effective writing,
- achieving a more elegant style (register and lexical issues),
- paragraph structure, content organization, organization of papers,
- select formats: essays, abstracts, summaries (per demand),
- punctuation, citation issues

Successful completion of another B2-rated course or C-Test in English (for dates please see
