FsB vom 18.03.2026, gültig ab Wintersemester 2026/27
The Bachelor with One Core Subject in Educational Science provides thorough knowledge of education and socialisation, as well as training in social-scientific research methods.
A particular feature is the opportunity for individual specialisation: students choose between four academic focus areas (counselling, civic and global education, societal relations of difference, media education) and four professional fields (education in childhood, adult and continuing education, social pedagogy and citizenship, social work) in order to set their own priorities and qualify for a range of educational and pedagogical fields of practice.
An integrated practise-oriented phase enables students to apply theoretical knowledge and gain professional experience. The individual subsidiary subjects offer scope for further in-depth study or for insights into other disciplines. In the bachelor’s thesis, students bring together the competences they have acquired by working on a self-chosen topic.
