Der 1-Fach-Bachelor Erziehungswissenschaft vermittelt fundierte Kenntnisse zu Bildung, Erziehung und Sozialisation sowie in sozialwissenschaftlichen (Forschungs-)Methoden.

Ein besonderes Merkmal ist die Möglichkeit zur individuellen Profilierung: Studierende wählen zwischen vier fachlichen Fokussierungen (Beratung, Civic und Global Education, Gesellschaftliche Differenzverhältnisse, Medien) und vier Professionsfeldern (Bildung und Erziehung in der Kindheit, Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung, Sozialpädagogisches Arbeiten und Citizenship, Soziale Arbeit), um eigene Schwerpunkte zu setzen und sich für unterschiedliche pädagogische Handlungsfelder zu qualifizieren.

Eine integrierte Praxisphase ermöglicht es, theoretisches Wissen zu erproben und berufspraktische Erfahrungen zu sammeln. Der Individuelle Ergänzungsbereich bietet Raum für Vertiefung oder für Einblicke in andere Fachbereiche. In der Bachelorarbeit bündeln Studierende erworbene Kompetenzen anhand eines selbst gewählten Themas.

Derzeit in der Beantragung: Bei entsprechendem Studienverlauf bietet der Studiengang die Möglichkeit, eine staatliche Anerkennung im Sinne des SobAG zu erlangen.

Course start

Studies can be commenced in both winter and summer semesters. Courses are targeted to commencing studies in winter semester. Student counselling to plan the course of studies is recommended.

Access requirements

Access to the Bachelor programme is granted to those who have a university entrance qualification suitable for Germany (e. g. German ‘Abitur’).

Special conditions apply to applicants with a foreign certificate of education.

Likewise, special conditions apply to those qualified in vocational education and training.

Application, admission and enrolment  1

The study places are subject to admission restrictions (numerus clausus). You need to register online with the German Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung (Foundation for University Admission) (hochschulstart.de) and then apply to Bielefeld University within the currently applicable application deadlines.

Places are allocated in the so-called German ‘Dialogorientiertes Serviceverfahren (DoSV)’ (dialogue-oriented service procedure) and is carried out in several steps. If you accept an admission offer during this procedure, you can submit your application for enrolment within the set deadline.
