Contents of the subject Educational Science
The BA minor subject Educational Science provides thorough knowledge of education and socialisation, as well as training in social-scientific research methods.
Building on a broad disciplinary foundation, the degree programme enables individual specialisation. Depending on their interests, students choose either
• an academic focus area: counselling, civic and global education, societal relations of difference, media education, or
• a professional field: education in childhood, adult and continuing education, or social work.
In this way, students set their own priorities and acquire pedagogical competences for a range of professional fields.

Studies can be commenced in both winter and summer semesters. Courses are targeted to commencing studies in winter semester. Student counselling to plan the course of studies is recommended.
