The aim of the degree programme, which is a follow-up from the basics acquired in the Bachelor's degree programme in Sports Science, profile Economy and Society, is to build up professional competences that are necessary to be able to steer the development of the organisations located here in the broader area of the sports system in a scientifically enlightened and goal-oriented manner. Accordingly, on the basis of a well-founded general economic education, its specification in the areas of sports economics and sports management, as well as an insight into fundamental research methods, social theory, organisational sociology and psychology, students acquire knowledge and skills to be able to work conceptually in a wide variety of sports-oriented organisations and at the same time take into account the requirements of the market, society and their own type of organisation in a scientifically sound manner. Further theory-in-practice courses also open up the opportunity to deepen the practical professional experience gained so far, to open up further fields of activities and to check the theoretical knowledge for its applicability in practice. Due to the explicit scientific orientation and the connection of the degree programme to current research projects in the professional field, the degree programme also offers good conditions for pursuing further scientific qualifications after graduation, if the student has the appropriate inclination and aptitude.
