Das Fach „Geschichte und Kultur Lateinamerikas“ stellt ein ergänzendes Angebot im Bereich der Geschichts- und Kulturwissenschaft dar, dessen inhaltliches Ziel es ist, ein Grund-, Orientierungs- und Methodenwissen im Bereich der lateinamerikanischen Area Studies zu vermitteln. Den Studierenden wird die Möglichkeit geboten, mit einem aufeinander abgestimmten Angebot „Iberische und lateinamerikanische Geschichte“, „Literatur Spaniens und Lateinamerikas“ sowie „Sprachkompetenz Spanisch“ Lateinamerika und die Karibik im transnationalen Verflechtungszusammenhang zu erfassen. Diese integralen Bestandteile des Studiengangs werden durch drei gleich gewichtete und aufeinander abgestimmte Bereiche abgedeckt.

Access to the Bachelor programme is granted to those who have a university entrance qualification suitable for Germany (e. g. German ‘Abitur’).

Approval for certain modules requires proof of linguistic aptitude in the form of knowledge at level B1 of the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages". Proof should be provided by means of a language test.

The study places are not subject to any admission restrictions (numerus clausus). Nevertheless, you need to apply within the currently applicable application deadlines.
