Transitional regulations

Dieser Eintrag basiert auf den Fächerspezifischen Bestimmungen (FsB) für das Fach Mathematik vom 15.02.2012 mit Berichtigung vom 15.07.2013 und Änderungen vom 03.12.2012 und 15.12.2016.
Diese FsB gelten für alle Studierenden, die sich ab dem Wintersemester 2011/2012 und bis einschließlich Sommersemester 2014 für einen Bachelorstudiengang mit dem Fach Mathematik an der Universität Bielefeld eingeschrieben haben und dieses Fach bis zum Ende des Wintersemesters 2017/2018 abschließen.
Mit Beginn des Sommersemesters 2018 bis einschließlich Wintersemester 2019/2020 kann das Studium abgeschlossen werden nach den Fächerspezifischen Bestimmungen vom 15.02.2012 mit Berichtigung vom 15.07.2013 und Änderungen vom 03.12.2012, 15.09.2014 und 15.12.2016. Mit Beginn des Sommersemesters 2020 gelten auch für diese Studierenden die Fächerspezifischen Bestimmungen vom 30.09.2016.

Hinweis: Alle Studierenden, die nicht nach den aktuellen FsB studieren, können vor den oben genannten Zeiträumen gemäß der Bestimmungen in Ziffer 10 (4) der Fächerspezifischen Bestimmungen vom 30.09.2016 nach einer der beiden neueren Bestimmungen studieren, wenn sie einen entsprechenden Antrag stellen. Sollten die Studierenden diese Möglichkeit nicht nutzen, werden sie ab den jeweils oben genannten Semestern in ihre nächstgültigen FsB ohne Antrag überführt.

Length and scope of studies

The standard period of studies is 6 semesters. Information on studying part time.

The studies Major Subject (Academic) Mathematics comprise 120 credit points.

Access to the Master programme is granted to those who can provide evidence that they have a first university degree which has a standard period of study of at least six semesters, qualifies for exercising a profession and is in accordance with the subject-specific regulations.

In any case, please read the specific Admission requirements for this Master's programme in the Subject-specific regulations.

Degrees from accredited Bachelor programmes at German ‘Berufsakademien’ are equivalent to Bachelor degrees from universities.

Applicants with a university degree obtained abroad are granted access provided that the degree they have acquired is deemed sufficient for this purpose and they can provide evidence of the required language skills.
