Students are able to plan the selection of modules to be studied in their Master's programme in such a way that the competence objectives can be achieved in the course of the programme, in particular that all requirements for writing a Master's thesis are met.

Students plan their individual course of study in this module. For this purpose, an individual study plan agreement (SPA) is completed with a potential supervisor for the master's thesis by the end of the first semester. This agreement specifies modules amounting to 30 credits that must be studied in order to be able to write a Master's thesis in a specific area. The SPA is intended to give students an orientation in the Master's programme and the certainty that the Faculty, in particular the supervisor with whom the SPA was concluded, will assign a Master's thesis topic that can generally be completed in the specified time with the knowledge and skills acquired in accordance with the agreement. In principle, students can adapt or renew SPAs, but this requires consultation with the supervisor. Approval for the Master's module requires a fulfilled SPA.

The study plan agreement is a compulsory element of the first semester. In addition, two module elements (internship and/or soft skills) of your choice must be included for a total of 4 credit points.

Die SPV ist eine Vereinbarung, die die Studierenden mit einer potentiellen Masterarbeitsbetreuungsperson schließen. In ihr wird ein Studienprogramm im Umfang von 30 Leistungspunkten protokollarisch festgelegt, dessen Absolvieren die Studierenden ausreichend auf das Verfassen einer Masterarbeit bei der mit unterzeichnenden Betreuungsperson vorbereitet.
Der Workload für diese Prüfung ist mit der Erarbeitung der SPA erbracht.
