Competencies

Non-official translation of the module descriptions. Only the German version is legally binding.

This module focuses on independent familiarisation with various subject areas. In the "Reading Course" and "Research Colloquium", students should learn to deal with new statistical research areas and to work on topics independently.

Content of teaching

In the "Reading Course", students should gain an insight into current statistical topics and work through the relevant subject area under the guidance of a supervisor using specialised literature.
In the "Research Colloquium", students are presented with current research results from various statistical research areas. Students are then asked to analyse one of the topics presented in more detail.
