For information on the duration of the modul, refer to the courses of study in which the module is used.
In this module, you will acquire functional-anatomical, physiological and training science skills that will enable you to design training for healthy adults, taking into account the principles of triggering, securing and controlling the training process, in such a way that specific adaptations are triggered and performance developments in the conditional area are targeted. You will deepen these skills with selected pathophysiological impairments of adulthood and learn to reflect on and analyse the training methods and interventions described in the literature with regard to the expected health benefits and the associated risks.
You will demonstrate the acquisition of these competences by writing a written exam covering the contents of both modules.
In the course "Fundamentals of Training Science", you will deepen the knowledge of anatomical structures and physiological mechanisms acquired in the lecture "Fundamentals of Training Science and Sports Medicine". In addition, you will acquire knowledge about the relationship between targeted physical exertion and the specific adaptation processes induced by it. This knowledge is of fundamental importance for the planning and control of training, the selection of suitable training methods and thus for any targeted increase in fitness performance.
In the "Training in Prevention and Rehabilitation" seminar, you will deepen your knowledge of training methodology in relation to the connection between physical activity and health. On the one hand, this includes knowledge of the positive effects of physical activity on the primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of typical metabolic syndrome diseases caused or exacerbated by a lack of exercise and associated with arteriosclerotic changes. On the other hand, it includes knowledge of the risks associated with physical activity that result from the individual's state of health and the training methods used.
For participation in the course "Fundamentals of Training Theory", knowledge of the contents of the course
course "Fundamentals of Training Science and Sports Medicine" of module 61-Spowi-GL1 is recommended.
For participation in the course "Training in Prevention and Rehabilitation", knowledge of the contents of the course
"Fundamentals of Training Theory" of module 61-P-TG is recommended.
