Competencies

You will expand your previous practical professional skills in an organisation in your chosen professional field, apply your theoretical specialist knowledge in actual work practice and reflect on the practical experience you have gained in an internship report and a presentation.

Content of teaching

The aim of the module is to provide you with an in-depth insight into the respective work and functioning of an organisation involved in sport, with the main focus on the areas of management and organisational development. To this end, you will complete a block work placement of at least twelve weeks in an organisation from one of the fields of activity "Clubs, associations, administration", "Other sports providers", "Education", "Industry, trade", "Media", "Sponsoring, marketing" or "Tourism, event organisation". With regard to the choice to be made, you are free to further deepen the experience you have gained in your previous theory-in-practice courses or to open up another field of activity. However, the final choice of a specific organisation is always made after consultation with the Department of Sports Science. The internship is accompanied by preparatory and follow-up events.
