Competencies

In this module, you will acquire interdisciplinary subject-specific skills in the areas of organisational development and consulting as well as organisational psychology.
You will also acquire sport-related specialist skills in the areas of marketing and PR, which are relevant for the organisation both internally and externally in terms of analysis, evaluation and action, and at the same time learn to differentiate between these perspectives. In addition, as a key qualification, you will acquire the competence to link theory and practice as well as the ability to advise and evaluate in relation to organisational contexts. Through the coursework (presentation and preparation of case studies), you will acquire both specialist skills (economic knowledge in marketing/PR) in economic and organisational contexts and key skills such as the ability to cooperate, judgement, communication skills and action skills in relation to organisations. The final examination (written exam) is primarily aimed at specialist skills such as economic knowledge in marketing and PR of organisations as well as key skills such as the ability to assess and act in organisational contexts and written communication skills.

Content of teaching

In the introductory lecture on "Organisational Psychology", fundamental principles of work motivation, personnel selection, assessment and development as well as leadership and group processes in organisations are explained. This knowledge will be deepened in the seminar "Processes in Organisations", where you will gain an insight into the theories, methods and fields of research and application of the subject area. Examples of organisational psychology content include leadership and communication, working groups and group work, personnel assessment, creativity and innovation in organisations as well as organisational diagnosis and development. You will also deal with specific areas of sports marketing in the seminar "Marketing of sports organisations". This includes the use of classic marketing instruments in the field of sports organisations as well as dealing with service marketing and brand management.
