The master thesis provides students with the opportunity to investigate a scientific problem and to develop an appropriate approach independently. Students learn how to find and organize relevant literature and gain an overview of the state of the art regarding their chosen research topic. They gain skills necessary for the planning, implementation and evaluation of experiments as well as documenting results in line with scientific practice.
A scientific paper or study is carried out largely independently on a topic from the field of Intelligent Interactive Systems jointly agreed upon between the student and the supervisor. The student carries out a scientific paper or study in the area of Intelligent Interactive Systems largely independently. The results are summarised in a written report. This report should be oriented towards the conventions for scientific publications from computer science. It should be structured e.g. as follows: Summary, introduction, state-of-the-art methods/approach, possibly implementation and architecture, experiments and results, discussion, and outlook. The results of the Master's thesis should be presented (e.g. in the context of a working group seminar or colloquium) and then discussed.
It is recommended that students have completed all modules intended for the first and second semester.

In the written report the ability for preparing a scientific report will be tested. The presentation is for testing the ability of presenting the own report verbally and to defend it.
Module structure: 1 bPr, 1 uPr 1
The subject is a presentation of approximately 30-40 minutes about the master's thesis. The examination will be conducted by the authorized examiners who also evaluate the master's thesis.
Marked written report (dissertation) consisting of at least 50 and no more than 80 pages to be completed within 6 months. The deadline needs to be adhered to. Authorized examiners are the heads of the working/research groups of the Faculty of Technology. Second examiner can only be an authorized person who holds at least a Master or Postgraduate Diploma.
Students have to give a presentation of 30-40 minutes about the dissertation. The examiners will be the same as those marking the written dissertation.
Start of work depending on the registration of the master's thesis.
