Die Studierenden erwerben im Rahmen des Projektes praktische Kompetenzen und Fähigkeiten für die Lösung einer Aufgabe im Bereich der Naturwissenschaftlichen Informatik. Sie erwerben dabei Kenntnisse bei der Formulierung informatischer oder naturwissenschaftlicher Fragestellungen und deren Lösung im Labor oder mittels des Computers. Sie üben und stärken auch ihre Fähigkeiten im Bereich der eigenständigen Planung und Durchführung von Projekten.
Students acquire practical skills necessary for informatics in the natural sciences. Students will gain competencies in the handling of informatical or natural scientific problems and zhe solution of these problems in laboratory or with the computer. They practice and develop the skills necessary for planning and carrying out projects on their own.
Zu einem gemeinsam zwischen der oder dem Studierenden und der oder dem Betreuenden vereinbarten Thema aus dem Bereich der Naturwissenschaftlichen Informatik wird eine praktische Arbeit weitgehend selbständig durchgeführt. Die Ergebnisse des Projektes werden vorgetragen und in einer schriftlichen Ausarbeitung festgehalten. Die Ausarbeitung dient der wissenschaftlichen Dokumentation des Projektes.
A topic agreed on by the student and supervisor will form the basis of a practical assignment in the area of informatics in the natural sciences carried out to a large extent independently by the student. The results of the project will be reported in a presentation and in written form. The written report serves as the scientific documentation of the project.

Project and a written report. The layout of the report depends on the actual project and should be about 8 - 16 pages.
