For information on the duration of the modul, refer to the courses of study in which the module is used.
In this module, you will learn to assess and review movement science theories and models with regard to their practical suitability in a selected field of movement. You will acquire diagnostic skills for the use of instruments to assess the performance requirements in the sport and will be able to assess other framework conditions. In addition, you will acquire basic skills for instructing and designing standardised and non-standardised sports under the conditions of recreational and health sports and expand your own experience of movement.
In one of the selected seminars, you will take a practical sports examination on the competence area of "sports motor skills" (practical examination) or on the competence area of "teaching" (practical teaching examination) in health sports movement fields. The theory examination for the area of competence "movement theory, subject-specific knowledge" is taken as an example in a course not selected for the practical sports examination. It is not possible to take a partial module examination in all compulsory elective courses offered in the module.
In this module, you will expand your experience and knowledge in various fields of sport and exercise. As an example, you will acquire skills and abilities for self-realisation in the area (1) of movement activities relevant to leisure and health sports (e.g. "aqua fitness"; "strength training", "tai chi", "body therapy", "golf"; "baseball", "other sports games"; "acrobatics" etc.) and acquire methodological knowledge for teaching them. In a course from the area of (2) outdoor sports (e.g. "rowing", "canoeing", "sailing", "surfing", "skiing", "snowboarding", "cycling", "mountain hiking"), the special experiential educational possibilities of these fields of activity are also addressed as part of an excursion, which is compulsory. Furthermore, the area of (3) martial arts (e.g. judo, kickboxing, self-defence, etc.) must be studied. You will learn to apply movement and training science theories to the respective fields of practice.
In the project ending date, you will deepen your movement experience in one of the areas (1), (2) or (3). You will learn to transfer movement and training science models and theories to the selected field of practice by investigating conditional and/or technomotor performance requirements in a theory-in-practice course by developing and applying diagnostic procedures (e.g. motor tests, analysing memory structures). For a deeper understanding of the sport, economic and organisational framework conditions are also taken into consideration.

A medical certificate stating that the student is able to undergo the physical demands of a sports degree programme must be submitted at the latest at the start of the 61-P-PIuB and 61-P-PIB-A or 61-P-PIB-B modules. The certificate must not be older than three months at this time.
Notes on course and examination selection:
Only one practical sports examination must be taken in this module, which can be either a practical teaching examination or a practical subject examination.
In the module, one course must be chosen in each of the areas (1), (2) and (3).
No coursework is to be completed in the course in which the practical sports examination is taken.
Reasons for the necessity of two module examinations:
In the seminars, didactic-methodological and movement-theoretical aspects of the respective sport and movement field are taught in an integrative manner and sport-specific performance and technique are also trained. For technical and organisational reasons, a separate examination of the individual aspects of competence acquisition (motor skills, teaching skills, subject-specific knowledge) is necessary in the sport and movement fields.

An academic achievement is a task that is performed for practice purposes. In a practical course, such tasks are the demonstration of practical sports performance and the instruction of sports groups on a smaller scale (approx. 10 to 20 minutes). In addition, the preparation of minutes of a meeting or an abstract of a short text of no more than 1200 words etc. may be required. |

The theory exam takes the form of a written exam (50 to 60 minutes) or an oral exam (20 to 30 minutes).
A practical sports examination in the form of a specialised practical examination consists of a test of sport-specific performance and technique. Either a practical examination or a practical teaching examination must be taken.
A practical sports examination in the form of a practical teaching examination consists of a test of planning and teaching skills (approx. 30 minutes of teaching practice with a selected learning group). Either a practical examination or a practical teaching examination must be completed.
