Competencies

Die Studierenden vertiefen ihre mathematischen Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten in einem von ihnen gewählten Bereich aus der Algebra, der Analysis, der Geometrie oder aus dem Bereich der angewandten Mathematik. Insbesondere erkennen die Studierenden weiter reichende Zusammenhänge zu bereits erarbeiteten mathematischen Sachverhalten. Sie können die bislang erlernten Kenntnisse und Methoden auf verschiedene, tiefer liegende mathematische Problemfelder übertragen und anwenden. Aufgrund einer intensiveren Auseinandersetzung erweitern die Studierenden auch ihre mathematische Intuition.

Content of teaching

Die Studierenden wählen eine Vorlesung aus einem Gebiet der Mathematik. Mögliche Veranstaltungen sind Algebra, Elementare Zahlentheorie, Analytische Geometrie und Lineare Algebra, Analysis, Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie, Statistik, Numerische Mathematik, Diskrete Mathematik usw.

Recommended previous knowledge

Für den erfolgreichen Besuch wird dringend empfohlen, zuvor die Module "Arithmetik und Algebra" (24-ARI), "Geometrie" (24-GEO) und "Funktionen" (24-FKT) abgeschlossen zu haben.
