Students are able to work independently on a scientific paper on topics of global structures and interactions with an interdisciplinary approach.
Students choose the topic, research question and methodology of their Master's thesis in consultation with a supervisor of their choice.

Module structure: 1 bPr 1
In the study group, students on the degree programme come together to discuss issues, materials and methods for their Master's thesis. The study group is organised by the students themselves as far as possible. Two teaching staff, instructors, lecturers from the subjects involved provide organisational support and moderate individual meetings as required.
The thesis is written in English, refers to the current state of research on the topic and integrates methods and questions from different disciplines. The thesis has a length of 140,000 to 160,000 characters and is issued and supervised by an authorised examiner from one of the participating Faculties and assessed by this person and another authorised examiner from one of the participating Faculties. The student makes suggestions for the topic and supervisors. The processing time is six months. Three copies of the thesis must be submitted by the deadline.
