The sports degree programme in Bielefeld focuses on imparting sound knowledge and critical reflection skills in selected areas of Sports Science. The teacher training programme focuses on preparing exercise, games and sport for children, adolescents and young adults, justifying them as educational opportunities and reflecting on the phenomena of exercise culture in terms of holistic promotion. To this end, theoretical and practical courses are used to develop skills for teaching and organising sport.
The academic profiles enable students to manage the development of organisations in various areas of the sports system and to offer consulting and intervention services, e.g. in associations, clubs and in the commercial sector. A specialist degree programme allows you to focus either on sports management, sports economics and sports sociology or on sports psychology, neurocognition and exercise science.
