Das gesamte Studium umfasst verschiedene Fachbereiche und ist dadurch unheimlich spannend, da man vielfältige Einblicke erhält. Besonders interessant finde ich die Bereiche Epidemiologie und Gesundheitsförderung, da ich mir gut vorstellen kann, später auch beruflich in diesem Feld tätig zu sein. Ich kann das Studium allen sehr empfehlen, die sich für das Thema Gesundheit auf Bevölkerungsebene interessieren.

Interdisciplinary education
The Public Health master's course is multidisciplinary and provides
comprehensive knowledge in various areas of health sciences. Students learn
to analyse and apply health policy reform processes, health psychology and sociology,
which prepares them for a wide range of appointments.
Compulsory elective areas and specialisation
During the course of the degree programme, students have two comprehensive
compulsory elective areas at their disposal. These allow for individual
specialisation and in-depth study in specific areas of public health, so that
personal interests and career goals can be better taken into account.
Practical experience
The degree programme offers the option of gaining work-related experience
as part of an internship. This practical component promotes an understanding
of the challenges in the healthcare sector and optimally prepares students
for their future appointments.

What are the access requirements?
Access to the Master programme is granted to those who can provide evidence that they have a first university degree which has a standard period of study of at least six semesters, qualifies for exercising a profession and is in accordance with the subject-specific regulations.

Degrees from accredited Bachelor programmes at German ‘Berufsakademien’ are equivalent to Bachelor degrees from universities.
Applicants with a university degree obtained abroad are granted access provided that the degree they have acquired is deemed sufficient for this purpose and they can provide evidence of the required language skills.
