Social Sciences

The degree programme in Social Sciences is designed as both a subject-specific and interdisciplinary degree programme in sociology, political science and economics. Students acquire fundamental knowledge and understanding of the issues, theories and methods of the three related disciplines as well as the ability to apply and communicate this knowledge in various professional fields. The degree programme is characterised in a special way by the interdisciplinary integration courses that combine the related disciplines and give the social sciences a specific profile. The scientific study programme variants prepare students for traditional social science careers in associations, political parties, foundations, academies and non-governmental organisations.
