In the Latin degree programme, students immerse themselves in the world of ancient Rome. They translate and interpret the texts of the most important writers, politicians, orators and philosophers of the time and thus combine Latin literature with archaeological, cultural-historical and historical knowledge. In addition to a sound language education, students (in the version of degree programme with a teaching degree option) acquire subject-specific didactic knowledge in preparation for the teaching profession. They also acquire the know-how to formulate and independently work on their own questions using subject-specific working methods. Thanks to this variety of working techniques, the Latin degree programme also paves the way for other Master's degree programmes and professional fields, e.g. in publishing houses, museums or the cultural sector. Last but not least, students can look forward to a wide range of excursions that give them the opportunity to explore the sites of ancient culture on site.
