Latin American Culture and History provides foundational, orientation and methodological knowledge in Latin American area studies. The focus is on Latin America and the Caribbean in their transnational interconnections. The subject combines Iberian and Latin American history, literary and cultural studies approach to Spain and Latin America, as well as the development of Spanish language skills.
Subsequent Master’s programmes can build on the subject’s content and open up career prospects in cultural and social fields.
