I come from Brazil and research education funding.
In Brazil, I work in a Teacher's School.
I have a degree in Physical Education from the University of Brasília (UnB), a specialisation in Teacher Training for Basic Education (UnB), a Master's degree in Education (UnB) and a PhD in Education (Federal University of do Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS) with an exchange in the United States (Columbia University) with a scholarship from Capes (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel). I have been a civil servant at the State Secretariat of Education of the Federal District of Brazil (SEDF) since 1995 and since 2001 I have been working in a postgraduate school for teachers. I have worked as pedagogical coordinator, supervisor and headmaster of a public school (formerly Centro de Ensino Fundamento 619 da Samambaia, now Centro Educacional 619). I was a professor at the Faculty of Educational Science and Federal District of Brazil University/UnB and pedagogical coordinator of the PIE course (Pedagogical course for in-service teachers at the beginning of their school career). I was Undersecretary of General Education, Undersecretary of Planning at the SEDF and twice at the Advanced Teacher Training School (EAPE). I worked at EAPE as a professor in several courses, including the course "Democratic School Management" from 2015 to 2018. From February 2019 to August 2020, I worked as a special advisor at EAPE. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at Bielefeld University in Germany, where I am conducting research in education finance in Brazil and Germany.
